Senior Lunch
A Pot-luck lunch is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the First Congregational Church on Route 5 in Westminster. The main dish is provided by Senior Solutions. All seniors are invited to attend. Blood pressure checks are provided by our community nurse.

Transportation
WC volunteers are available to transport Westminster residents, 60 years of age and older and adults with disabilities to medical appointments, shopping, hairdressers, etc. There is no charge for Transportation services, however donations are gratefully accepted.
*A 24-hour notice is appreciated.
Meals on Wheels
Meals are available to seniors 60 years of age and older and adults with disabilities 5 days a week (Monday thru Friday) by a volunteer. Meals are provided by Kurn Hattin. A donation is requested. Meals on Wheels is a service designed to help seniors (and adults with disabilities) maintain their independence as they face financial, physical and emotional hardships.
Frozen meals for the weekends are now available, thanks to the generosity of Sharon Bocelli and our devoted volunteers.
Home Heating Assistance
The Board of Westminster has established a heating fund to provide assistance for Westminster seniors who need help heating their home. The staff of Westminster Cares is also available to assist seniors in finding other sources of assistance.
Community Nursing Program
Westminster Cares provides access to a Community Nurse. What is a Community Nurse? Community Nurses work to improve the health and well-being of the community they serve by educating them about illness, disease prevention, safe health practices, and how to obtain health care services. They also facilitate communication between people, their families, and the medical community in order to improve health outcomes.
Elder Tech Classes
Once a month, a volunteer books session through our office for Westminster Residents that are looking for assistance with their smart phones, tablets or computers. For more information on the timing and availability, you can call (802) 722-3607 or email our office at [email protected].
Friendly Visits
Volunteers from our community will provide friendly visits to those who are living alone and are in need of social contact. WC will match appropriate volunteers with requests for the service. There is no charge for this service.
Information and Referral
The staff of WC is available by phone or email to help you find the information you or a family member needs to help stay independent and at home.
Home Care Equipment Loans
Equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs, etc. are available on loan from WC.
There is no charge for this service.
Chores
Help with yard work and simple home repairs is available
