This year’s show is dedicated to Jim Grandy whose cheerful help in providing security for past shows will be greatly missed. |
The show takes place at Westminster Center School in the heart of our small town. We are pleased to be able to use the pristine facilities of the new gymnasium and community space so there will be ample room for vendors alongside the show and for parking outside. The school lunchroom will be available for snacks and drinks in a separate area during the show. While the largest part of the show will be the selected work of local quilters, the school site also provides us with ample room for classes and workshops. The participation of students and the school community as a whole will be a vital part of the show. |
Ann Kebbell coordinates the show again this year. Rebecca Hartman will join us to publicize the show and Elise Sterling is seeking sponsors to support the event. Lucy Matteau serves as our treasurer again this year. The steering committee for the show meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 4:00 pm at the Center School. All meetings are open to the public. Because the success of every quilt show depends on volunteers to create this fundraising event for Westminster Cares, we welcome the involvement of everybody in the community. The show is a great way to get to know your neighbors, to see beautiful quilts, and to support the work of Westminster Cares. |

General Information |
The 6th biennial Westminster Quilt Show continues our tradition of exhibiting fine needlework and creating community in the process. This year’s special exhibit is the work of local fabric artist L. Carlene Raper. The show also features a collection of quilts made collaboratively along with the story and purpose of their making. Julie Patrick, native of Westminster, who now lives in Bellows Falls, generously donated this year’s raffle quilt. Our goal is to produce an appealing show, to inspire creativity through workshops and demonstrations, to attract high quality vendors of fabric and food, and to generate community among volunteers and visitors, all with the underlying goal to raise funds for the services of Westminster Cares, Inc. |
The Westminster Quilt Show is created by friends and supporters of Westminster Cares, Inc. |
