From
Brattleboro and Points South:
From Interstat 91, take Exit 4 and turn right onto Route 5
north. Go about 3/4 of a mile to the center of Putney
Village. Turn left on the Westminster West Road by the
Putney General Store. Go exactly 4 miles to the second
entrance to McKinnon Road. (McKinnon is a U-shaped road
that connects to Westminster West Road twice -- pass the first
entrance, pass Josh Gold Pottery, and then take the second
entrance.) Turn right immediately into the field to park.
The house is the gray cape 100 yards up the dirt road.
From
Points North:
Take Interstate 91 south to Exit 4 and follow the directions
above.
From Manchester, Saxtons River and Points West:
Follow Route 11 east through Chester. When Route 11 turns
left, continue straight ahead on Route 103 for about 4 miles.
Turn right on Pleasant Valley Road. You'll see a sign for
Saxton's River. Pleasant Valley Road takes you into the
center of Saxtons River.
Turn right at the west end of Main Street (near the Post
Office and Church), go over the bridge and follow the paved road
south for about 4 miles to Westminster West village.
Continue until you pass Livewater Farm at about 2.6 miles, then
a brick colonial B&B. Go another .3 miles and turn left
onto McKinnon Road. Turn right immediately and park in the
field. The gray cape and gardens are across the road.
